Ice Hockey is a club sport at Saint Ignatius College Prep. This is similar to all high school hockey programs in the Chicago area. Over the years the Wolfpack hockey program has grown in skill and numbers and now includes Varsity Gold, Varsity Maroon, and Junior Varsity teams. The teams compete in the  Scholastic Hockey League (SHL), Academic Hockey League (AHL), and the Chicago Catholic Hockey League (CCHL). The Wolfpack home games are played at Fifth Third Arena (practice rink of the Chicago Blackhawks) located at 1801 West Jackson Blvd. just ten minutes from the Saint Ignatius campus.

In addition to games, teams practice three times during the week on full ice. Practices start at 3:50 pm. Bus service is provided to hockey practice for JV players on school days and there is an organized storage area so that students to not have to lug their gear to school.  Also at Fifth Third Arena, The hockey program provides off ice training partnering with Goodman Elite and off-ice sessions are held for each team twice a week directly after practice.
