Introduction Cross Country is an endurance sport that incorporates both team and individual components. Saint Ignatius has a modified no-cut policy with respect to this program. This policy allows new student-athletes the opportunity to learn the sport at their own rate. Returnees of all skill levels are expected be in shape when the season starts so they can handle the training volume of the varsity team. To remain on the team, all student-athletes must commit to all of the meets and practices on the schedule.
The Pack placed 3rd at the GCAC Championships on Saturday. The Wolfpack was led by Julia Jablonski's eighth-place finish that highlighted the third-place finish.
The Wolfpack finished 4th of 24 teams at the Solorio Invitational at the Marquette Park Golf Course. The Pack was led by Abbey Ray (8th) and Molly Malloy (14th) with Priya Chacko and Magdalena Pullos established big PRs in the race.
The Wolfpack finished third at the First to the Finish Invite in Peoria. Ella Kueker, Fiona Connelly, Abbey Ray and Olvia Brophy earned top-25 finishes in a field of 249. Maeve Wysocki rounded out the team score by finishing 49th.
The Wolfpack finished second of twelve teams in the first three-mile race of the season at the Marmion Invite. Ignatius was led by Abbey Ray (5th) and Caelinn O'Shea (9th) who both earned medals. Next up for the Wolfpack is the First to the Finish on Saturday at Detweiler Park in Peoria.
