The Saint Ignatius girls wrestling program is a newer IHSA sanctioned sport that began in the 2023-24 school year. Saint Ignatius wrestling will instill the needed qualities of faith, discipline, determination and commitment in each individual, and focus those qualities into a philosophy of selflessness and giving to the school community and team, in order to achieve excellence and build a foundation for lifelong success.
The Wolfpack was represented at The Women of Ironman Invite this weekend by GG Garduno. Garduno was ranked 6th heading into the national competition and ended up making it all the way to the championship against world gold medalist Taina Fernandez. After upsetting two nationally ranked opponents. Garduno couldn't take down Fernandez placing 2nd overall at 140 pounds. GG was the highest place holder for Illinois!
The Wolfpack traveled to Fenton for the Weiss Cardinal Invite on Friday night. GG Garduno won the 145 lbs. weight class and Valeria Santiago placed 4th in her division to lead Ignatius.

The Wolfpack took on Mother McAuley and St. Viator on Thursday at home. The Pack was led by GG Garduno who went 3-0 on the night and Valeria Santiago who went 2-0.
