The Saint Ignatius girls wrestling program is a brand new IHSA sanctioned sport in the 2023-24 school year. Saint Ignatius wrestling will instill the needed qualities of faith, discipline, determination and commitment in each individual, and focus those qualities into a philosophy of selflessness and giving to the school community and team, in order to achieve excellence and build a foundation for lifelong success.

Garduno Unable to Escape IHSA Sectional
The Wolfpack GG Garduno was unable to get out of the IHSA Sectional this past weekend. After a first round bye, Garduno faced off against a wrestler from Evanston the upset Garduno 14-2. In the wrestle backs, Garduno took down her opponents from Homewood-Floosmoor and St. Laurence both by pins in under two minutes. Facing off against her rival from Phoenix Military Academy for the third time this season. Garduno was unable to advance losing 10-0 in the wrestle back semi-finals.Read More -
Garduno Headed to IHSA Sectional
The Wolfpack took part in the IHSA Regional at Chicago Rickover Naval. GG Garduno placed 2nd at the 145 lbs. weight class losing in the finals to #1 ranked wrestler out of Phoenix Academy 8-0. After a bye her first round, Garduno defeated her opponent from Crane with a pin in 1:08. In round three, GG pinned her Currie opponent in a quick :58 seconds to enter the championship. Wolfpack Take Part in Raptor Invite
The Pack competed at the Raptor Invite this past weekend. GG Garduno took her first loss of the season as she placed 2nd in her weight class to lead the Pack.Read More -
Garduno Stays Hot at BTS Invite
The Wolfpack traveled to Hope Academy to take part in the Beat the Streets Invite. GG Garduno continued her hot start to the season with another 1st Place finish to lead Ignatius. Also, placing for the Pack was Valeria Santiago who took 6th place.Read More -
Pack Take 8th at Cardinal Invite
The Wolfpack traveled south to the Eisenhower Cardinal Invite on Saturday. The Pack placed 8th out of twenty-five teams led by GG Garduno who won her division. Lina Sniegowski (3rd Place), Catalina Flores (7th Place) and Karina Robledo (8th Place) also placed for the Pack.Read More
