Joseph E. Liptay '83 Student Endowment

Joseph E. Liptay ’83 and his brother, Mike ’82, attended Saint Ignatius College Prep and continued their educations at Northwestern University. In Joe’s senior year, he was killed in a motorcycle accident on Sheridan Road on Northwestern’s campus. In his memory, the Liptay Family established a financial aid endowment at Saint Ignatius. Today, the endowment has supported over 30 young men and women and provided them with the same high-quality, Jesuit Catholic education that Joe, Mike and their classmates benefited from.

The Liptay Endowment is supported by an annual event that gives the Liptay family and friends a chance to celebrate Joe’s life while getting together for a great cause.

We thank the Liptay Endowment donors for their generous and continued support of the students at Saint Ignatius College Prep.
