The Jesuit, Latin Term, Cura Personalis, meaning care for the whole person, guides the work of School Counselors at Saint Ignatius College Prep. We strive to build counseling relationships with students to foster healthy academic, social and emotional development.
School Counselors are often the first point of contact for parents/guardians and student questions. We strive to facilitate student success in and outside of the classroom.
As School Counselors we also work with students to achieve the self-understanding and self-direction necessary so s/he can live up to her/his God-given potential as a student in a Jesuit, Catholic school, as a member of a family, and as a member of the community. In addition, because Saint Ignatius is a Catholic school, the counselors in cooperation with our Formation and Ministry Department, provide each student every opportunity to grow in love and maturity in Christ.
