JRS provides assistance to refugees in camps, to people displaced within their own country, to asylum seekers in cities, and to men and women in detention centers. Like each of the ten geographic regions of JRS, the mission of the Jesuit Refugee Service/USA (JRS/USA) is to care for the most vulnerable of refugees, in particular those whose plight has been forgotten by the rest of the world.
