  • Focus. Competition. Community.

If you're interested in building some major life-skills, you might want to consider joining the Saint Ignatius College Prep Chess Team. We welcome both experienced players and novices to the game that requires mental strategy, forethought and patience -- along with a great deal of practice and teamwork.  Chess improves concentration and memory. It fosters logic, critical thinking and creativity. Finally, it encourages and rewards hard work.  The team/club competes against other Catholic and private schools. The season culminates at the exciting state competition!

"In life, as in chess, forethought wins."
