Wolfbyte

WolfByte Robotics

The Saint Ignatius Wolfbyte Robotics team is part of a global community.  It's one of more than 3000 teams worldwide! Members compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition, an event designed to involve high school students in robotics. To rise to that challenge, our mission is to design a robot that weighs around 120 pounds. But when we're not in competition, we teach our members how to code, how to manage a budget, how to use tools safely and effectively, how to build circuits, and  how to manage social media platforms around the club! We also work to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education at both Saint Ignatius and in our community by supporting First Lego League teams at local grammar schools.

John Glenn, NASA Astronaut

"I think sometime we will go to Mars, and I think we'll explore it with humans sometime, but I think it's really wise to do all the robotic exploration ahead of time and learn as much as possible. Once we have learned as much as possible with the robots, then that's the time to send people, and let them then continue the research that the robots have started."
